Full Throttle: The Women Who Drive Change aims to explore the major shifts happening off track for women and girls in the automotive and motorsport landscape. This short documentary will amplify underrepresented voices, and highlight women working behind the scenes to drive meaningful change.

About

My name is Dulcie Barham

As the producer of Full Throttle, I bring both a personal connection and professional passion to this documentary. Having just completed a year long placement in the automotive and motorsport industry I truly am now more aware than ever about the lack of representation and access to industry opportunities for women and girls. Often being part of a small minority of women when working on projects and in my networks, I am trying to break this cycle and disrupt the "car guy culture" within the industry. I aim to highlight a plethora of roles that women do to keep the industry alive.

I have experience reporting, writing, and producing content for a variety of platforms, including Buzz News, The Tab, Woodland Group and ROOTS. I have honed my skills in interviewing and visual storytelling as most of my experience is in multimedia output and content creation and I thrive on creating gritty and insightful stories and content. For my first documentary I am aiming to produce a raw and honest visual story that inspires, educates and excited future generations.

In an industry built on speed and power, the biggest shift is happening off track as women rewrite what it means to belong in motorsports.

This documentary follows women working behind the scenes to increase representation for young girls in the automotive and motorsport industry and the opportunities, or lack of, for young girls trying to break way into the industry.
