Pitch week rolled around fast !
This was my time to prove why my documentary matters and why what I am advocating for should be broadcasted.
3 minutes, 5 slides and enough enthusiastic energy to convey why this doc will be a hit.
Leading up to my pitch I felt nervous and unsure how i would sell this story in such a short amount of time, so I rehearsed and rehearsed and made sure that no matter the question, no matter the nervs I would be able to get the examiners to envision how my doc will sit, be received and how it will do it's job of advocating for increased representation for young girls and women.
On the day, I felt generally relaxed and more excited to share my ideas and plans and I even kept under the 3 minute time slot - which is hard for someone that can talk for days. I felt as if my idea had really been understood and dare I say I saw excitement on my examiner's faces as i closed the pitch.
Roll on December 17th.....
